ShipShop — multi-courier shipping aggregator for India · Last updated: 18 July 2026
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the ShipShop website, dashboard,
APIs, and mobile apps (together, the "Platform" or "Service") operated by ShipShop at
shipshop.in. ShipShop is a technology aggregator that lets Indian sellers
compare rates across multiple licensed couriers, book shipments, pay from a prepaid wallet, collect and
reconcile Cash-on-Delivery, and track deliveries to completion. By creating an account, connecting a
store, topping up a wallet, or booking a shipment, you agree to these Terms and to our
Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1.Acceptance of the Terms
These Terms form a binding agreement between you (the "Merchant", "User", or "you") and ShipShop
("ShipShop", "we", "us", or "our"). They apply to every person who accesses the Service in any role —
merchant/seller, sub-user, franchise partner, agency, affiliate, delivery agent, or administrator.
By registering, logging in, connecting a store, funding a wallet, or booking any shipment, you confirm
that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
If you accept these Terms on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you are
authorised to bind that entity, and "you" refers to that entity.
Additional program-specific terms (franchise, affiliate, connected-store, credit facility) apply in
addition to these Terms where you opt into those features. In case of conflict, the program-specific
terms control for that feature.
"Service" / "Platform" — the ShipShop website, merchant dashboard, admin console, APIs,
checkout widgets, and mobile apps.
"Courier" / "Carrier" — a licensed logistics provider (e.g., India Post, Delhivery, DTDC,
Blue Dart, Xpressbees, Ekart, Shadowfax, Amazon Shipping, Ecom Express) that performs pickup, transport,
and delivery.
"Shipment" — a parcel booked through the Service against a courier AWB (Air Waybill).
"Wallet" — your prepaid balance held on the Platform, used to pay freight and fees.
"Freight" — the shipping charge for a Shipment, inclusive of applicable GST and any
surcharges.
"COD" — Cash on Delivery: the parcel value the courier collects from your recipient and
that is later remitted to your Wallet.
"NDR" — Non-Delivery Report; "RTO" — Return to Origin.
"KYC" — Know Your Customer identity and business verification.
"Sub-processor" — a third party that processes data or performs a function on our behalf
(couriers, payment gateway, hosting, messaging providers).
Be at least 18 years of age and competent to contract under Indian law. The Service is
not intended for and may not be used by anyone under 18.
Be a genuine business or individual seller shipping legitimate goods, and provide accurate account
details (name, email, phone, company, and GSTIN where applicable).
Complete KYC verification — submitting valid identity and business documents — before you
can transact. Access to the dashboard and to booking is gated until KYC is approved by ShipShop.
You must keep your account and KYC details current. We may re-verify, request additional documents, or
restrict features if information is missing, expired, inconsistent, or suspected to be false. Providing
false information is a material breach of these Terms.
You are responsible for all activity under your account, including activity by sub-users, staff, and
connected integrations you authorise.
Keep your credentials confidential. Use a strong password (minimum eight characters) and do not share
login access. Notify us immediately at
shipshop.official2020@gmail.com of any suspected
unauthorised access.
Access is role-based. Sub-users, franchise partners, agencies, affiliates, delivery agents, and admins
each see only the functions granted to their role. You must not attempt to access data or functions
outside your role.
You must not misrepresent your identity, impersonate another person or business, or operate multiple
accounts to evade limits, dues, or a suspension.
ShipShop is a shipping aggregator and technology intermediary. We let you compare courier
rates, book shipments, generate labels, capture pickups, collect COD, and track deliveries from a single
dashboard. ShipShop is not a courier, carrier, or logistics operator and does not itself transport,
handle, or deliver any parcel.
What this means for you
The actual pickup, line-haul, and last-mile delivery of every Shipment are performed by the licensed courier
you select at the time of booking. Physical custody of goods, carriage terms, service levels, and delivery
performance are the responsibility of that courier. ShipShop books the courier on your behalf and provides
the software layer that orchestrates the process.
We may add, remove, or change available couriers, features, and pricing at any time. We do not guarantee the
continued availability of any particular courier, route, or serviceable pincode.
ShipShop operates on a prepaid wallet model. You top up your Wallet in advance, and freight
and fees are debited from it.
Top-up. You add funds via our payment gateway partner (Easebuzz). Credits are applied to
your Wallet once payment is confirmed, and are idempotent (a single confirmed payment credits your Wallet
exactly once).
Freight debit on booking. When you book a Shipment, the freight quoted for the courier
and service you selected — inclusive of GST and any applicable fuel, COD-handling, or
other surcharges — is debited from your Wallet at the moment of booking.
Sufficient balance required. You must hold sufficient Wallet balance to book. Where an
optional credit facility is expressly enabled for your account, you may book against
approved credit up to your assigned limit; credit is repayable per its own terms and is off by default.
Refunds to Wallet. If a booking is cancelled before dispatch, or a booking fails, the
amount charged for that Shipment is refunded to your Wallet. Refunds are made to the
Wallet balance, not to your original payment instrument, unless required by law.
Taxes. Prices are shown inclusive of, or plus, applicable taxes as indicated before you
confirm. GST and other statutory levies apply as per Indian law, and tax invoices are issued accordingly.
Wallet is not a deposit or e-money product. The Wallet is a prepaid balance for using the
Service and does not earn interest. On account closure, the remaining eligible balance is settled per our
standard process after deducting any dues.
Rates are quoted before you confirm. The rate shown for each courier depends on origin
and destination pincodes, weight/volumetric weight, distance zone, and payment type (prepaid/COD).
Money-safe quoting. Our rate engine is designed to never quote a ₹0 or "free"
shipment. Where geo or slab data is incomplete, the engine over-quotes (charges the
farthest / priciest applicable band) rather than under-price a Shipment. You should treat any rate as an
estimate subject to the courier's final billing.
Weight discrepancy. You must declare the correct actual weight, dimensions, contents,
and declared value. Couriers re-weigh and re-measure parcels; a discrepancy flagged by the courier
(higher billable/volumetric weight than declared) may result in an adjustment (additional debit)
to your Wallet for the difference. You may dispute discrepancies through the courier's process where
available.
Custom / premium rates. Where you are on an eligible plan, negotiated per-merchant rates
may apply; these pause and revert to standard rates if the plan is downgraded.
Fees. COD-handling, RTO, address-correction, re-attempt, and similar fees (as published)
may apply and are debited from your Wallet.
For Cash-on-Delivery Shipments, the courier collects the parcel value from your recipient on delivery and
the collected COD is remitted to your Wallet.
Remittance schedule. Delivered and closed COD that has been reconciled becomes available
and is remitted to your Wallet on the applicable remittance cycle. COD for parcels still in transit,
undelivered, or in an excluded status is not yet collectible and is not remitted until it clears.
Early payout (optional). Where enabled, you may request early remittance of eligible,
already-delivered COD ahead of the standard cycle, subject to approval and any early-payout fee. Early
payouts credit only the COD actually covered by the request; a request cannot be pending across two
payout flows for the same pool at the same time.
Deductions. Remittances are net of applicable COD-handling fees, any freight or RTO dues,
adjustments, and taxes.
Accuracy. COD amounts must be set correctly at booking. ShipShop is not responsible for
an incorrect COD value you entered, or for a recipient's refusal to pay on delivery (which is handled as
an NDR/RTO).
Pickup. After you book and pay, the Shipment is scheduled for pickup and an AWB is
generated. Ensure the parcel is ready, correctly labelled, and adequately packaged for transit at the
pickup address you provided.
Correct information. You are responsible for a complete and accurate recipient name,
phone, address, and pincode. Delays, failed deliveries, and RTO caused by incorrect or incomplete
information are your responsibility.
NDR (Non-Delivery Report). If a delivery attempt fails (recipient unavailable, address
issue, refusal, etc.), an NDR is raised. You should action NDRs promptly (re-attempt, update address, or
initiate RTO) through the dashboard; unactioned NDRs default to RTO per courier policy.
RTO (Return to Origin). Undeliverable parcels are returned to your origin address. RTO
freight and handling charges (as applicable) are debited from your Wallet. ShipShop is not liable for
RTO caused by recipient refusal, wrong address, or courier operational decisions.
Proof of delivery. Where captured, delivery is evidenced by the courier's proof of
delivery (e.g., recipient signature and mobile confirmation).
Transit times are estimates set by the courier and are not guaranteed by ShipShop.
You must not ship anything that is illegal, hazardous, or barred by the selected courier or by applicable
law. Prohibited and restricted items include, without limitation:
Illegal drugs, narcotics, and controlled substances; unlicensed pharmaceuticals.
Explosives, firearms, ammunition, weapons, and their parts.
Flammable, corrosive, toxic, radioactive, or otherwise hazardous materials and dangerous goods, including
many lithium batteries and pressurised containers, except where the courier expressly permits them under
its dangerous-goods rules.
Currency, negotiable instruments, precious metals/stones, and other high-value items beyond a courier's
declared-value limits.
Perishables, live animals, human remains, and biological or medical waste, except where a courier
specifically supports them.
Counterfeit, pirated, stolen, or infringing goods; obscene or child-abuse material; and any item whose
shipment or sale is prohibited under Indian law.
Any item restricted or barred by the specific courier's terms for the origin/destination in question.
Your responsibility
You are solely responsible for the contents, packaging, labelling, and legality of every Shipment. Shipping
prohibited or restricted goods is a serious breach that may result in seizure or destruction by the courier
or authorities, penalties, immediate suspension or termination, and reporting to law-enforcement — with no
liability to ShipShop.
Because ShipShop is an intermediary and not the carrier, service levels and liability for the physical
Shipment rest with the courier:
Delivery timelines, service commitments (SLAs), and liability for loss, damage, theft, delay, or
non-delivery are governed by the selected courier's carriage terms and liability
caps. Claims for such events must be raised against, and are settled by, that courier, subject
to its rules, timelines, and maximum-liability limits.
ShipShop's role is to facilitate booking, provide the software, and assist you in routing a claim to the
courier where reasonably possible. ShipShop does not underwrite, insure, or guarantee courier performance
and does not assume the carrier's liability.
Any optional shipment protection or insurance, where offered, is subject to its own separate terms,
eligibility, and claim process.
Franchise partners onboard and support merchants within an agreed scope. If you participate as a franchise
partner:
You act on your own account and are not an employee, agent, or legal representative of ShipShop, and may
not make commitments or representations on ShipShop's behalf.
Your access, permissions, commercials, and territory are as configured by ShipShop and may be changed.
You must comply with all applicable KYC, acceptable-use, and money-path rules for merchants you support.
Franchise commercials are read-time facilitation and do not authorise you to hold, move, or disburse
other users' wallet funds or COD outside the Platform's controls.
Any breach, fraud, or misuse by you — or by merchants under your management with your knowledge — may
result in suspension or termination of your franchise access.
Affiliates refer new merchants and may earn commission on qualifying activity, calculated per the
published commission configuration, which ShipShop may update from time to time.
Commission is a calculated, read-time entitlement; it does not move money by itself, and payouts (where
available) follow ShipShop's payout process and eligibility checks.
You must not use spam, misleading claims, brand impersonation, cookie-stuffing, self-referrals, or any
deceptive or unlawful method to generate referrals. Fraudulent, incentivised-in-violation, or reversed
referrals are not payable and may be clawed back.
ShipShop may withhold, adjust, or reverse commissions for suspected abuse, chargebacks, refunds, or
terminated referred accounts, and may suspend affiliates who breach these Terms.
If you connect a store (e.g., Shopify or WooCommerce) or use our APIs, you authorise ShipShop to read your
orders and to write shipping/fulfilment updates on your behalf, solely to provide the Service.
You represent that you are authorised to connect the store and to share the order and recipient data it
transmits to ShipShop.
Data handling is described in our Privacy Policy. We honour the mandatory Shopify
compliance webhooks (customers/data_request, customers/redact,
shop/redact).
You can disconnect at any time by uninstalling the app or revoking the integration. Store URLs you
provide are validated for security before we fetch from them.
Use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or deceptive purpose, or in breach of any courier's terms
or of applicable law.
Ship prohibited or restricted goods (see section 10), or mis-declare weight, contents, value, or payment
type.
Interfere with, probe, scrape, overload, reverse-engineer, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the
Platform, other users' data, or our infrastructure.
Introduce malware, bypass security or rate limits, or use the APIs in a manner that degrades the Service.
Resell, sublicense, or misrepresent the Service, or use it to harass, defraud, or harm any person.
The Platform, including its software, design, dashboards, labels, logos, the "ShipShop" name and marks, and
all related content, is owned by ShipShop or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service for your
legitimate shipping business while these Terms are in effect.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or create derivative works from any part of the
Platform, or remove any proprietary notices, except as expressly permitted.
You retain ownership of your own business data. You grant ShipShop the rights needed to process that data
to operate the Service, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Courier names and marks belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify their services.
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the
maximum extent permitted by law, ShipShop disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including
merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free
operation.
We do not warrant that any rate estimate, transit time, serviceability result, or tracking event is
complete, accurate, or guaranteed — these depend on courier data that can change.
We do not guarantee pickup, delivery, or that any particular courier or route will be available.
ShipShop is not responsible for the acts, omissions, delays, damage, or loss of any courier, payment
gateway, connected platform, or other third party.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ShipShop, as an intermediary and aggregator, accepts only
limited liability:
Liability for loss, damage, or delay of a Shipment lies with the selected courier and is
capped at that courier's declared liability limits under its carriage terms.
To the extent ShipShop is found liable for a claim directly arising from the Service, its
total aggregate liability for that Shipment is limited to the freight (shipping charges) you paid
for that Shipment.
ShipShop is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential
damages, or for loss of profit, revenue, goodwill, or data, even if advised of the possibility.
ShipShop is not liable for delays, failures, or losses caused by couriers, force majeure, your incorrect
information, prohibited goods, or third-party services.
Nothing in these Terms excludes any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable Indian law.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ShipShop and its officers, employees, partners, and
sub-processors from and against any claims, losses, liabilities, penalties, fines, and expenses (including
reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:
your breach of these Terms, the Privacy Policy, or any applicable law or courier policy;
the contents, packaging, mis-declaration, or shipment of any parcel, including prohibited or restricted
goods;
incorrect recipient, COD, weight, or value information you provided; and
your infringement of any third party's rights, or any claim by your recipients or customers relating to
your Shipments.
You may stop using the Service at any time and request account closure.
We may suspend or terminate your access, in whole or in part, for breach of these Terms, non-payment or
negative Wallet/COD dues, fraud, shipping of prohibited goods, security risk, courier or legal
requirements, or misuse.
On suspension for suspected fraud or dues, in-flight Shipments and COD may be held pending investigation
and reconciliation.
On closure, outstanding freight, RTO, adjustments, and other dues are settled first; any remaining
eligible Wallet balance and collected COD are then remitted per our standard process. Provisions that by
their nature should survive (payments, IP, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, dispute resolution)
survive termination.
ShipShop is not liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond its reasonable
control, including acts of God, natural disasters, floods, fire, epidemics or pandemics, war, terrorism,
civil unrest, strikes or labour disputes, government action or restrictions, courier network outages,
power, telecom, internet, hosting, or payment-gateway failures. During such events, affected obligations
are suspended for the duration of the event.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.
The parties will first attempt to resolve any dispute amicably through good-faith discussion. Contact us
(see Grievance redressal) with details, and we will work with you toward a
resolution.
Unresolved disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India,
at ShipShop's registered place of business, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection or
grievance forums available to you under law.
Disputes concerning the physical Shipment (loss, damage, delay) are, as noted, governed by the relevant
courier's carriage terms.
In line with the Information Technology Act and rules and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023,
ShipShop provides a grievance channel. For complaints about the Service, your account, a Shipment, COD, or
the handling of your personal data, contact our Grievance Officer:
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our service, couriers, pricing, or the
law. Material changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date shown at the top of this page. Your
continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do
not agree, stop using the Service.
